“We can save Edina and her son. I am certain of it. But this soldier… he’s a different matter and not one conjured by her restless mind.”
“He's real?”
“A tormented spirit who will make himself known to others before he leaves Lympne.”
Three hundred years after the Roman army left their fort, the people of Lympne bask in the comfort they gain from their good connections and the wealth to be had from grazing land on Romney Marsh. The settlement thrives under Thane Selwyn and benefits from being on the route to Sandtun.
Most are unaware of a desperate soldier who searches the hillside and the Marsh for his lost love. When he steps from his time to theirs, he has the power to devastate lives.
